Biography

Alexis Laree is perhaps one of the most well-known women working in the North American independent wrestling circut today. Entering the arena in her trademarked spiked shoulderpads and noticible silver-on-black ring attire, she puts a chill down the spine of competitors and spectators alike. In the ring, she puts on a powerful display of skill and raw determination. Outside of the ring, her fit & trim figure and disarming smile show off a much more graceful and elegant figure. She has a complete package to win both fans and opponents over.

In the mid-90s she got her break into professional wrestling by managing champions such as Tommy Dreamer, Julio Dinero, Christian York & Joey Matthews. While managing these men, she often found herself running into as much trouble with their opponents as her charges themselves did.

It didn't come as much of a shock to many when Alexis stepped into the ring herself in 1999. Completing her training with the Funkin' Dojo in 1998, along with a handful of training camps & dojos, Alexis made an easy transition from manager to diva to accomplished professional wrestler. Over the last several years she has set the standard for women's professional wrestling in many organizations. While she has put on many memorable matches against female superstars such as Candie, Tara, Lexie Fyfe and Allison Danger, she hasn't been afraid to take on the men. Just ask Adam Flash, Sean Lei or any members of the Christopher Street Connection if their bruises have healed!

Many writers consider Alexis to be one of the best athletes not participating in the majors. It was a "no-brainer" that she was honored in being named Pro Wrestling Illustrated's "Top 100 Women in Wrestling History" in 2002. Having held the gold in several promotions, she has helped to bring a renewed focus on women in the pro wrestling ranks outside the title of manager, valet or diva.

2003 was the year that Alexis Laree would step onto the national scene. In February she wrestled against Dawn Marie at in a dark match for WWE SmackDown in Richmond, VA. Because of this, she was called up to NWA Total Non-Stop Action in March, first as a tag-team partner for Amazing Red in his fight against TNA X Division champion Kid Kash and his partner-in-crime Trinity, and later as the first member of Raven's new group, "The Gathering", and Raven's effort to win the NWA World title. Her ongoing battle against NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett made her one of the most talked-about women in professional wrestling. She was the first (and sofar only) woman to wrestle in not one, but two Clockwork Orange House of Fun matches.

Alexis moved one step closer to realizing her ultimate dream of becoming a WWE Women's champion later in the year. On August 22, 2003 she officially signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, and in October she was assigned as a WWE Developmental Talent to Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, KY.

2004 Alexis was still in OVW, making her WWE Heat debut. the match did not air. But we do have word that Alexis is in contract with the WWE and will hopefully be making her debut in 2005!!!
